Privacy & SMS Terms

The short version: we collect only what you give us, we use it to run The Bean Tree and send the texts you asked for, and we don’t sell it.

Who we are

The Bean Tree is an espresso stand at 745 River Rd, Puyallup, WA 98371. You can reach us through the contact page or in person at the window.

What we collect

  • Spin & Win: your mobile number, your text-message consent (the exact wording you agreed to and when), your prize and code, and basic technical details sent by your browser — IP address, browser type and the page you were on. We keep these to run the game fairly (one spin per phone number, ever), to honor your code, and as a record of your consent.
  • Contact form: your name, email, optional phone number and your message, so we can reply.
  • Browsing: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. We don’t use advertising trackers on this site.

How we use it

To reply to you, run Spin & Win, redeem prizes, and — only if you opted in — send you Bean Tree marketing texts. We may use a customer-messaging service to store your number and send texts on our behalf. We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share your mobile number or opt-in consent with third parties for their own marketing.

SMS terms

  • Program: The Bean Tree specials and Spin & Win reminders.
  • Consent: you opt in by ticking the box on our Spin & Win page. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
  • Frequency: message frequency varies.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt out: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You’ll get one confirmation and nothing after that.
  • Help: reply HELP for help, or use the contact page.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Spin & Win rules

Spin & Win is a one-time deal: one spin per mobile number, ever. No purchase necessary to spin. Prizes redeem in person at 745 River Rd, Puyallup, within 2 weeks of the spin (codes expire at the end of the 14th day, Pacific time) and in any case no later than the end of Wednesday, November 4. One code per visit, not combinable with other offers, no cash value. Double punch is added to your Bean Tree punch card at the window; 10% off applies to one order; the $5 gift card is issued at the window when you redeem your prize. The Bean Tree may end the promotion at any time.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep Spin & Win and consent records for as long as the program runs and as long as we need them to show you agreed to receive texts. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, use the contact page or ask at the window.

Children

Spin & Win and our texts are not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this page, we’ll update the date at the top. If we change the text-message wording you agreed to, we’ll ask for your consent again.
